About E.R.I.K.
E.R.I.K. is a program initiated by Paramedic Janice Johnson and brought to fruition with the help of Boni-Vital Council for Seniors. The E.R.I.K. program was developed in response to community concerns regarding the availability of adequate information in emergency situations. All emergency groups have endorsed this program. Once completed, the kit provides necessary information for emergency personnel to respond quickly to your situation. What's In The Kit Kits have a Health Information Form including name, address, health card numbers, next of kin, family physician, medical history, allergies and medications. The kit also contains a health care directive and organ donor card, which are not mandatory for people to complete, but available if they choose. Who Should Have This Kit The kit is ideal for seniors, chronically ill persons, those who live alone or who have a caregiver, and others who have speech difficulties or communication barriers. Take It With You You may want to take a copy of E.R.I.K. with you when you travel, or go to the hospital in a non-emergency situation. Get Your E.R.I.K Kit Now Kits are available at our office.
